Buying vs Building, Old vs New

We are seeing a growing trend of renovation warriors! Those older properties that sit in desirable locations are what ambitious buyers are after. We see properties in prime areas selling because buyers want the location and aren’t afraid to make the building their own through renovations. For multi-unit buyers, this is a win-win: quick renovations, less downtime for rental income, and the ability to meet the demand for housing in hot spots like West Bay and Central George Town. If they are under a million bucks, they go fast!

The same can be said for homes and condos. The older builds have good bones, so savvy buyers are making the most of their DIY skills. Older condos and homes often have larger floor plans than some of the newer ones, and SPACE is a big factor on many buyers’ wish lists.

FINALLY! The ONE GT property is now open and it is WOW. Out of the 93 closings we had in May, a third of them were ONE GT properties and more will continue to close throughout June.
